Richard Laurion

Richard Laurion, MA, CI/CT, NIC Advanced, has been interpreting since 1983 and most recently managed federal, state, and foundation grants for the CATIE Center at St. Catherine University. Richard has distinguished himself as an interpreter advocate, , mentor, project coordinator and grants manager. He has served in leadership roles on the state and national boards of directors for the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf as well as multiple non-profit organizations. He volunteers as a member of the St. Paul College and Century College, IEP/IPP advisory committees. Richard was a past chair for the MN Commission Serving D/HH People. In 1998, he established the partnership of Sign Language Interpretation, Consultation and Education Services (SLICES), LLC., for the purpose of creating educational programs and products for interpreter development. Richard now provides private practice interpreting services through Associates of Saint Anthony Park (ASAP) Interpreting, LLC.
